Rentals and Lessons

Private Use — The rink is available to book for private use for yourself, a group of friends or teammates, broomball, or a party. Check out the private rentals page for details.

Shooting Range — Shooting Range sessions are for players and goalies of all ages and ability. Check out the shooting range page for details.

Hockey Clinics — Hockey clinics can be arranged for your team. Please contact us by phone or by email for more information.

Lessons — The rink may be rented for lessons given by one of the coaches listed here or by your own coach. Please have your coach contact The Hockey Pond to schedule rental time.

The Hockey Pond is a 28 foot by 50 foot mini-ice rink which is based on the idea of ‘pond hockey’ where players and goalies can practice and learn ice hockey or, play a pick-up game with friends...it’s California’s version of pond hockey. It’s a great place to get some ice time and have fun!

Our ice is REAL not synthetic and designed to improve the skills of hockey players. We rent the ice rink to private parties, to coaches/instructors who give hockey lessons at the Pond, and to local hockey teams for extra practice. The ice is perfect for private lessons, shooting, passing, 3 on 3, and all around ice hockey training. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

We have dryland equipment including a shooting area. There’s a separate lounge/media room where folks can relax, review video, watch TV, play Xbox, and keep warm. Bring your laptop and use our free, secure Wi-Fi.

How it Works

The Hockey Pond’s ice rink may be rented by individuals, groups, and instructors. You are renting the entire ice rink for your private use. To rent our ice rink you should make a reservation to guarantee the Pond is open, except for Open Shooting Range time. If you are interested in ice hockey lessons, you first contact an instructor (list of instructors). If you already have an instructor and would like to take lessons at the Pond, please ask your current instructor to contact us. Your instructor will handle the reservation for you.
